Patches' Picks

Patches has so many favorite books here at the library. Each month he will choose from his favorites and hide a "Patches' Picks" card in each of them. We will also display them here on our website and at the library to help you find them.
Check out a book from "Patches' Picks" and get a prize from the prize bowl.

Limit one (1) "Patches' Picks" book per checkout so more children can join in the fun!

Meet Miss Danielle!

Miss Danielle grew up living at the beach, where she enjoyed playing in the sand, collecting shells, and swimming. In college she lived farther north, where she enjoyed the changing seasons, leaves falling from the trees and snow shimmering all around. After college, Miss Danielle moved to Santiago, Chile, where she lived, taught English and managed a language school for seven years. For fun she took courses in promoting children's literature and ran a bilingual story time for families who wanted their children to practice and be exposed to English. Now Miss Danielle lives in Utah and is the children's librarian in charge of Story Time at Garland Public Library. Miss Danielle loves children, children's literature, and crafting. She can't wait to meet you when you come to check out books, participate in story time, or just visit and enjoy the library!
